Oh sweet Evan is ONE!!! He's such a cutie and just getting so big!!! Fortunately we were able to avoid snakes for this session! His grandma has been a teacher for a long time, so it seemed appropriate to get the old schoolhouse in the background! Enjoy!!!

widders family | preview

The sweet Widders family!!! We started our little sess with a snake spotting!! Yes!!! So from then on we were quite nervous that there may be more (which there were) snakes!! We didn't see anymore, but heard from many others that there were some Rattlesnakes and a bunch of babies!!! AYEEEEE!!!!!!! I like my shoots to be exciting . . . but that is just a bit much!! Anyways . . . they are such a sweet family! It's always fun to shoot friends and I'm so glad we finally found a good day! Between rain and sporting events, but finally it happened!!!

Another Shootout Spotlight!!

 

Ok . . . Michelle and Ryan . . . such an adorable couple and can I brag on Ryan for just a second . . . HE MADE MICHELLE'S ENGAGEMENT RING!!!
Yes!! You read that right!! He remembered a story his grandpa told him (correct me if I'm getting this wrong Michelle) how during the depression people would make rings out of a silver quarter because they couldn't afford anything more than that! SO . . . it took him two months and he made her ring!!! That's about the most romantic thing I've ever heard!
Ok . . . well, my husband taking out the trash is a close second, but not to steal their thunder we'll go with the hand-made ring from a silver quarter!!!
Oh. . . AND they are getting married on the anniversary of my first date with my husband! How cool is that!!!

Ericka and Paul

I met Ericka and Paul at The Charity Shootout at The Castle Green AND they were AWESOME!!!! 

They were my last couple . . . so much fun eventhough they’d been smiling for hours, the lighting was bad, and they were tired!!!

I was excited to actually meet them since Ericka and I had gabbed the night before like two old pals . . . seriously!!  She’s a hoot!!!

yellow + grey + chevron + LOVE = Bridal Shower for Lynn

Yesterday, was a day I’ve been waiting for for quite some time!!!  It was a beautiful day for a Bridal Shower!!! 
It has been an amazing journey to bring her to this point . . . and what a privilege it has been to see the Mighty Hand of God at work in her life and in bringing her wonderful husband-to-be, Ken, in to her life. 
It is an incredible story and yesterday was a wonderful of celebration!

What did we do before Pinterest???  So many things were inspired by that lovely addiction . . . I mean site!
We wanted a fun theme . . . a little DIY and a lot beautiful  . . . I think, with some help, we achieved the goal!!

I had been collecting tin cans and glass bottles . . . handed them over to Jackie and she did her magic! 
My vision was a little DIY Chic . . . and she NAILED it!!!

The gorgeous invitation was designed by my sweet friend Andrea Henry with To Be Invited!!!  Three layers of paper beauty!!! 

What’s a party without tissue paper puff balls???

The beautiful bride to be . . . just a bit overwhelmed with all the love!!!

Amy at Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica made this amazing creation of lemon cake, lemon curd, and unbelievable berries!!!!
